Zostel co-founders are diving into the world of Web3 with a bang!

What’s Sipping? ☕ Zo World offers a range of membership options, along with dedicated physical spaces and studio setups, all aimed at nurturing, curating, and launching NFT artists.

☕ Good morning! Sippers,

Zostel, the branded hostel chain, has expanded into the world of Web3 with Zo World, a new initiative focused on supporting NFT artists and communities.

Zo World includes three initiatives: Zo Membership, Zo House, and Zo Studio.

Zo Membership is open to anyone interested in joining the club and can be obtained by purchasing ‘Zo World Founders’ NFTs on OpenSea. Zo House is a physical space in Bengaluru for creators, collectors, and NFT enthusiasts to work, live, and socialize.

Zo Studio is a platform that enables artists to leverage, establish and monetize their talents, as well as collaborate with other artists. The founders of Zo World say that the initiative has no connection with Zostel except for the fact that they are founders of both companies.

The startup has reportedly sold 789 of 1,111 Founder NFTs and plans to open up the sale for the remaining 322 NFTs to select individuals. Zo House currently has 15 members and has led to 60+ partnerships among residents, giving rise to 20 NFT artists and 4,200 added NFT collections. The founders are planning for the next Zo House in New York City.

Zo World is primarily bootstrapped, with some support from angel investors such as Sandeep Nailwal, Co-Founder, of Polygon. Revenue comes from primary and secondary sales of NFT membership, Zo House accommodation, events and sponsorships, and Zo Studio commission on sales.

The 90-Day Challenge: Embracing the Struggle of Major Life Changes

Major life changes can be exciting, but they can also be challenging. Whether it’s moving to a new city, starting a new job, ending a relationship, getting married, starting to go to the gym, or having kids, these changes can often make life harder for the first 90 days before improving. However, this does not mean that the change was a bad choice. In fact, experiencing early struggle can be a sign of growth and progress.

The first 90 days of a major life change can be tough for several reasons. For starters, we may be adjusting to a new environment, a new routine, or new people. This can be overwhelming and can take time to get used to. Additionally, we may be facing new challenges and obstacles that we have not experienced before. This can be both exciting and scary.

One example of this can be seen in the world of business. When new CEO takes over a company, they often experience a period of transition that can be challenging. However, studies have found that the first 90 days of a new CEO’s tenure can be crucial for setting the tone and direction of the company. By embracing the challenges and opportunities of this period, the CEO can set the stage for long-term success.

Similarly, when someone starts a new job or moves to a new city, they may face challenges in the beginning. However, studies have found that people who embrace the discomfort of the early days are more likely to thrive in the long run. By pushing through the challenges and focusing on opportunities for growth and learning, they can set themselves up for success.

Meta Bids Farewell to NFTs on Instagram and Facebook!

Facebook and Instagram’s parent company, Meta, has announced that it is winding down its non-fungible token (NFT) integrations. Stephane Kasriel, who leads Meta’s fintech and commerce division, tweeted that the company will be “focusing on other ways to support creators, people, and businesses.”

However, he also clarified that the company is still committed to creating opportunities for creators and businesses to connect with their fans and monetize their content.

Kasriel said, “We learned a ton that we’ll be able to apply to products we’re continuing to build to support creators, people, and businesses on our apps, both today and in the metaverse.”

Meta began testing its digital collectibles feature based on NFT technology in May 2022 and piloted it for select users in the United States in November 2022. Ryan Watt, President of Polygon Labs, had previously stated that the NFTs were going to be minted on Polygon.

While NFTs may not be a priority for Meta at this time, the company is still investing in fintech tools, streamlining payments with Meta Pay, making checkout and payouts easier, and investing in messaging payments across Meta.
